Closing of our hut Koča na Planini pri Jezeru for 2023!

Koča na Planina pri Jezero will close its doors on Sunday, September 24, 2023.

Although many things happened to us this season – severe storms, fallen trees, bad weather and rain, impassable roads and forest paths… we had a successful and lovelz season! We had more than 1,000 confirmed overnight stays, we hosted various camps (SPD Trieste Youth Camp, TNP Supervisors Camp, …) groups (a team of employees from the H.C. Andersen Kindergarten from Ljubljana, the youth section of PD Dovje – Mojstrana, students from English secondary schools … and families and other individual hikers.

This year we were able to introduce beautiful and bright new double rooms. The guests were thus able to gain a little more intimacy. Occupancy in these rooms was almost 100% throughout the season, and a huge number of reservations were made even before the opening of the hut.

We also have a lot of other new acquisitions from this year, one of them is a bench, or terrace, in front of the hut.
However, the work does not end after closing – renovations of the other interior spaces are needed for an even better experience staying with us. 

During the closure of our hut in those winter months, a winter room will be available for overnight stays. No reservation is required and it is free of charge. It has 9 beds.

We would like to thank everyone who visited Koča na Planina pri Jezero this season. See you again next year, we will open our hut again in June 2024.
